The Author:
Brandon Stewart resides in Brisbane, Australia. He’s a music fan. He’s been told so. Afflicted with this condition for as long as he can recall, Brandon grew up in an era when you could still look forward to the next Beatles single.
Through pestering his teenage peers and their parents with an armful of the latest vinyl, through compiling cassette mix-tapes, moving on to CDs, and on to mp3 files, the music has been with him, always.
Surviving two decades in the tumultuous tumble dryer of commercial radio (and the bleak, wilderness years which often follow such an experience), through programming music for the national broadcaster, to the present day. His apprenticeship served, Brandon’s considered opinions are available to anyone who cares to listen via the radioBrandonblog.
So, what is radioBrandon anyway?:
When the world went digital, everything changed. The humble mp3 has made music much easier to acquire, store and revisit. Music is easier to organize with mp3 playlists. I use a number of them. Collectively, they represent my favourite radio station, for any kind of music. A station which plays only what I want to hear, and never stops down for a commercial break. I choose to call it, radioBrandon.
Obviously I’m not alone in this practice. I imagine there’s a radioBob or, radioSusan somewhere out there. Your own collection may be similarly tailored, but what about the new stuff? Where do you get a lead on what might be worth hearing, or adding to your collection? I hear a lot of new music. It’s my job. Much of it is awful. Some of it is good. Only occasionally, is something truly great.
New albums go onto the hard drive library, but key songs, will, according to genre, go into the appropriate radioBrandon playlist. New discoveries also help to feed the blog updates.
When I happen upon something I consider worthwhile, I want to share the news with others. Hence, the radioBrandonblog was introduced. It began as a general alert to friends and colleagues from my personal email account, but has since grown to the point of needing to go above ground and enter the blogosphere.

Brandon,
Our mutual friend, Ken Smith, sent this link to me. I am so happy he did! Upon a quick glance, I see we have the same opinion on a few musicians. The ones I haven’t heard of, I can’t wait to hear. I look forward to reading further.
Thank you,
